Role overview
We have an exciting opportunity in the People Resourcing Department at VSO. Currently VSO sends around 1000 youth volunteers a year overseas to take part in the International Citizen Service (ICS) Programme.
The primary focus of this role will be on providing outstanding volunteer management and support to young people about to head off and volunteer in Cambodia, Uganda, Bangladesh, Tanzania, Zambia, Nepal, Nigeria or Kenya.
As a part of the broader team you will also be involved in a wide variety of tasks which contribute to the recruitment, training and resettlement of volunteers on the VSO ICS Programme.
Skills, qualifications and experience
We’re looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills who can build supportive relationships with volunteers, their team and the wider organisation. The ideal candidate will be highly organised with excellent administration skills, able to prioritise conflicting deadlines, and have a high attention to detail and accuracy. A strong team focus is imperative to success in this role, as is a flexible approach to take on a varied workload.
