Our high-impact approach brings people together to share skills, build capabilities, promote international understanding and action to change lives and make the world a fairer place.Role overview This role is crucial for generating unrestricted income within the Public Fundraising Team at VSO, based in Kingston upon Thames. This post holder will work across the Community and Events Team and Major Donor Team and will lead on special events such as the annual VSO Christmas Carol Concert, and will also lead on Major Donor engagement events such as royal receptions and gala dinners. You will be able to manage a high workload with conflicting deadlines, and you will be competent at dealing with demanding high level stakeholders. You will ensure the database, Raiser's Edge, is kept up-to-date and accurate, and will have a good working knowledge of managing income and expenditure budgets and support on strategic planning.
Skills, qualifications and experience required The ideal applicant will be an experienced special events professional, with the ability to project manage large and complex events, and deal with high level stakeholders.
Experience of working with celebrities and Royalty would be a benefit.
A good understanding of the fundraising sector would be a benefit, specifically in the fields of Community and Events and Major Donor Fundraising.
