Role overview
The Senior Supporter Care Coordinator will lead the day to day activities of our busy and exciting Supporter Care team, helping to make a key contribution to the success of VSO’s volunteer recruitment, fundraising and public engagement activity in the UK.
In this role you will coordinate the work of the Supporter Care Team on a day to day basis. The team handle all inbound enquiries to VSO, including both supporter and volunteer related conversations, delivering a high level of service and creating meaningful opportunities for engagement. In order to ensure VSO Supporter Groups receive the best in supporter care and to reduce attrition, you will be responsible for a caseload of volunteer-led groups supporting them in their activities and events as well as maintaining excellent relationships with supporters throughout their lifespan. Finally you will take a lead role in managing the relationship between VSO and our donation fulfillment agency, helping to e nsure all fundraising income is accounted for using our fundraising database, and accurate records of our supporters are maintained.
A lifelong involvement with VSO begins when a supporter first contacts our Supporter Care team. You can help ensure we find the people and funds we need to make a difference.
This is a fixed term until the 31 March 2020 with possibility of extension. We are looking to appoint immediately.
Skills, qualifications and experience
The ideal candidate will be someone with experience of working within a Supporter Care and Fundraising environment. You will have strong customer service skills, and the ability to speak with confidence to members of the public, advise those wanting to take part in our volunteering programmes, and exhibit exceptional attention to detail when it comes to writing communications and processing donations. You will use your previous experience to take on a lead role within the team, and manage the day to day activities of your team members.
