At VSO we pride ourselves on doing development differently. We fight poverty not by sending aid, but by working through volunteers and partners to create long-lasting change in the some of the world’s poorest regions. By bringing the right people together we can build stronger, fairer and more inclusive communities, breaking the cycle of poverty and ensuring our impact lasts for generations to come. We need someone who can work with us to do more, to drive forward a crucial agenda to increase our impact and influence.
Role overview
You will be in charge of driving voluntary income growth in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands and building sustainable voluntary income steams internationally. You will bring wide-ranging Public Fundraising expertise and an innovative mind-set to make growth happen. It’s a truly exciting time for a fundraiser to join as we aim to double our unrestricted income in the next 3 years and are undertaking a significant project to review and articulate our organisational vision, purpose and values.
You will report directly to the Executive Director of Business Development (Executive Board member) and work very closely with the rest of the Senior Management Team.
Skills, qualifications and experience
The ideal candidate will bring significant experience and a track record of developing voluntary income streams in Europe and internationally, setting and meeting ambitious targets. You will be passionate about inspiring new and existing donors to support VSO’s work. As an experienced leader, you will be effective at motivating and managing high performing teams and developing strong relationships with non-fundraising teams internationally.
