Beacon school inclusion advisors - National volunteer role

Role Overview
This is a good opportunity for you to have experience with International Non-Profit Organization as a volunteer. Beacon School Inclusion Advisor volunteer will support a pilot initiative to strengthen inclusive practice in selected schools. The volunteer will work with school leaders, teachers, students, parents and community members and CPD/inclusion volunteers to develop inclusive policies and practices, and to share good practice on inclusion with other schools and stakeholders.
People with disabilities who have the relevant skills and experience are encouraged to apply for this position.
Skills and Knowledge
- Excellent English and Myanmar language skills
- Excellent knowledge of disability issues and the needs of disabled people
- Ability to establish strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Experience of working on projects at school or community level
- Ability to mentor and support young people
Desirable
- Experience of working in the education sector, and knowledge of inclusive education
