Role overview
The Policy and Advocacy Adviser will ensure that the learning from VSO programming is captured and used to promote pro poor policy and that the voices of impoverished and marginalized people are heard in national and international policy fora
Skills, qualifications and experience required
- Significant policy advocacy experience at national and international levels.
- Experience in development programming at community level.
- The ability to design, carry out, support, edit and write up research of publishable quality for policy advocacy purposes.
- Experience in implementing global advocacy programmes, including supporting people throughout the system to participate in joined up North-South advocacy.
This role can be based in the regional office or a country office in the Asia-Pacific region (Thailand, Cambodia, Nepal, Bangladesh). Candidates need the right to work in one of these locations
