Project description:

The central purpose of IMA4P is to identify high impact value chains and apply appropriate VSO interventions to deliver transformative change for poor and marginalised people. VSO will expand the range of interventions from focussing mainly on smallholder and farmer collectives, as in MMW4P, to now also include working with aggregators, traders, domestic and regional markets.

The Project Manager is responsible for achieving IMA4P (Improved Market Access for the Poor) project objectives in Cambodia. The project manager oversees the project to ensure the desired results are achieved, the most efficient resources are used and the different interests involved are duly considered, using People First programming framework and principles as a guide.

The project is structured into three components:

1 Producer group strengthening.

  • Develop the farmers' skills in agriculture practices, to increase yields and quality
  • Strengthen producer groups to enable them to respond to the needs and aspirations of their members.
  • Members trained on enterprise development to increase income generation.

1 Collaboration of value chain actors: Improve collaboration between rice market actors and service providers aiming for inclusivity and sustainable relation building. 2 Policy dialogue Identify and promote policies that favour all actors in the value chain.
