Role overview To develop and provide user-focused financial management services within VSO and its external stakeholders, with a focus on the International Citizen Service (ICS) consortium. To develop and undertake the budgeting and re-forecasting processes including the management of cash flows across the ICS consortium to support programme delivery. Ensure that the consortium members themselves, through the sub contracts, comply with all external and VSO financial compliance requirements. Work in partnership with leaders and senior managers to deliver financial information that supports strategic and effective management of the ICS programme and budgets. The post holder will also support global programmes with a particular focus on technical support for contracts and complex grants.

Please note this is a fixed term, 10 month, maternity cover role.

Skills, qualifications and experience required A fully qualified accountant with strong technical grant/contract management accounting skills demonstrated in a business support setting in the not for profit sector, including budgeting and management reporting. Proven ability to effectively deliver financial management of complex projects, generating a results-oriented, problem-solving team mentality and ensuring timely, high quality results. Significant experience of managing a number of internal and external stakeholders.
